branches buttons

This is one of a set of 6 buttons (1.5" across) that I've done as a test using mid fire porcelain. The black branches and red berries are hand painted using underglaze, the buttons are fired, then glazed using a semi-glossy clear glaze, and fired again to cone 6.
I have about 6 other sets that will hopefully be ready sometime next week, all quite different....these buttons look great on a black jacket, a hand knit sweater, a pillow or I think it would be cool to do something like a tufted head board using porcelain buttons! Oh to have the time!!
